A short walk (c400m) along the road is Shapwick Heath National Nature Reserve (NNR); about 2 miles away are Ham Wall NNR, Shapwick Moor, Catcott Complex and Westhay Moor NNR. WebShapwick Moor is an area of 138 acres (0.56 km 2) of farmland on the Somerset levels bordering Shapwick Heath and Cattcot Heath. It is part of the Brue Valley Living Landscape conservation project. The project commenced in January 2009 and aims to restore, recreate and reconnect habitat.
