This smart system relies on the ECU seeing what the current temperature of the water is and taking a hunch that when cold, the battery will be too. WebMar 24, 2014 · Ford makes a claim that it takes like 10 hours to fully charge a dead battery with one, they will pop diodes long before that as they are not made for 100% output long term. I changed lots of them under warranty when at the parts store, people consider alts as their battery chargers and not so at all.
